Appendix B · Working toolkit

Build a dossier that remembers how the reasoning changed.

Create reusable records for Dossiers I–XV, carry exact prior versions forward, preserve superseded states, and reopen a decision without pretending that review automatically reverses it.

Version, don’t overwrite

A new version archives the prior state and links both directions.

Carry forward, don’t re-prove

Later stages reference exact prior-stage versions rather than silently re-establishing old claims.

Uncertainty is a valid entry

Unknown, not applicable, not yet established, and disputed are supported field states.

No quality score

Coverage is visible, but completion is never treated as proof of truth, legitimacy, or sound reasoning.

15 reusable stage templates + reopened-decision review

Select or create a record.

The editor combines Appendix B’s shared dossier cover with the compact core fields for the selected stage. Advanced/high-consequence guidance remains visible without turning every exercise into a compliance wall.

Appendix B.19

Template integrity review

This is a review checklist, not a score. Checking every box does not prove that the reasoning is good.

Why local-first?

A practice tool before an institutional system.

The toolkit intentionally has no account, server submission, approval workflow, or authority action. It lets students, instructors, reviewers, and policy teams practice the record discipline while keeping the distinction between a textbook abstraction and future verified N5 infrastructure explicit.

Use JSON export to move a workspace between browsers or preserve it as a file. Markdown export creates a readable snapshot of one version. Neither format constitutes authorization or official provenance outside the context in which the user chooses to preserve it.
